	Remove/install
1	Remove screw connecting rear axle shaft to wheel bearing.	Model 118, 177, 243, 247 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) with code U55 (Multi-link axle) : Replace bolt.
		Bolt, rear axle shaft to wheel bearing	*BA35.30-P-1001-01P
2	Remove left rear or right rear brake disk and secure left or right brake caliper unstressed o the vehicle.		AR42.10-P-0220MFA
		: Do not twist the brake hose, and make sure that it is routed correctly. This results in damage to the brake hose and can impair its function. Do not crush or kink brake hose, and do not subject it to tension. This results in damage to the brake hose and can impair its function. Do not disconnect brake hose from brake caliper.
3	Remove rear axle rpm sensor.	Model 177, 247 with code U54 (Compound-link axle)

4	Unscrew screws (1) from wheel carrier (4).
Notice	Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process		AH00.00-P-0020-01A
		: Replace screw/bolts (1).

5	Remove rear axle shaft flange and angular-contact ball bearing (2) with brake cover plate (3).	Model 243Bolt, brake cover plate to wheel carrier	*BA42.10-P-1004-06K
6	Check brake cover plate (3) for damage.	If the brake cover plate (3) is damaged, ↓ replace brake cover plate (3).
7	Install in the reverse order.
