1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

3	Detach left supporting joint (8) and right supporting joint (9) from wheel carrier.		AR33.20-P-0510MFA

9	Remove holders (23) from lower control arms. 10	Unscrew screws (24), remove holders (22) from front axle (1), and secure against falling down. 12	Remove side noise encapsulation (20) from front axle (1).	If installed.
13	Remove nuts of screws (10) and remove screws (10).	: Position precisely. The rack-and-pinion steering must not slip on the front axle (1). Otherwise the elastomer bearings of the rack-and-pinion steering could be trapped or damaged. Replace screws (10) and nuts. Observe information sheet for repair kit. Fit assembly aid from repair kit onto screws (10) and insert screws (10) into front axle (1) from below. Then position rack-and-pinion steering on front axle (1) from above.

14	Secure rack-and-pinion steering using suitable means to prevent it falling.

16.1	Remove control unit of temperature sensor upstream of gasoline particulate filter (B163/4) with holder from front axle (1) and secure it on vehicle free of tension with line connected to prevent it from falling down. 		The temperature sensor upstream of the gasoline particulate filter (B163/4) remains in the exhaust system and is permanently connected to the control unit.

		Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension. This will result in damage to the lines which may impair their functional capability. The NOx sensor downstream of the SCR catalytic converter (N37/8b1) remains in the exhaust system and is permanently connected to the control unit of the NOx sensor downstream of the SCR catalytic converter (N37/8).
