Underbody Paneling Remove And Install - Ar61.30-P-1001MFA

DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Lift vehicle with lifting platform. IMPORTANT The SPECIAL TOOL adapter set is required only for the left underfloor paneling (21) or right underfloor paneling (22). AR00.60-P-1006A
  Remove left underfloor paneling (21) and right underfloor paneling (22)    
2 Remove nuts (3).    
3 Remove screws (4, 5).    
4 Unclip retaining clips (6) and remove left underfloor paneling (21) or right underfloor paneling (22). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that the left underfloor paneling (21) or right underfloor paneling (22) are seated correctly under the surrounding trims.

  Remove rear underfloor paneling (2) or rear trim (8)    
5 Unclip retaining clips (10). Model 118

with code ME08 (Hybrid drive 75-84 kW VARIANT (INCLUDING PLUGIN))

IMPORTANT The number of retaining clips (10) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.

6 Remove screws (11). Model 118

7 Remove screws (12). Model 177, 247 with engine 282

8 Remove screws (14). Model 118  
9 Remove screws (9). Model 118  
10.1 Unclip rear underfloor paneling (2) at arrow and remove. Model 177, 247 with engine 282, 608, 654
with code U54 (Compound-link axle)

INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Ensure that the rear underfloor paneling (2) is seated correctly under the surrounding trims.
 
10.2 Remove rear trim (8). Model 118
Model 177, 247 with engine 608, 654
with code U55 (Multi-link axle)
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Ensure that the rear trim (8) is seated correctly under the surrounding trims.
 
  Remove trim (7)     
11 Unscrew bolts (13). Model 118 with engine 608  
12 Remove trim (7). Model 118 with engine 608  
13 Install in the reverse order.
