	Removing
1	Remove rear axle shaft (1)		AR35.30-P-0620GW
	Disassemble
2	Clamp rear axle shaft (1) before disassembling	Screw two wheel mounting bolts into rear axle shaft (1) and clamp them in vise.
3	Unlock and unbolt slotted nut with right-hand thread (9.1) or with left-hand thread (9.2)	For right rear axle shaft (1), slotted nut with right-hand thread (9.1) is installed; for left rear axle shaft (1), slotted nut with left-hand thread (9.2) is installed.

4	Remove locking plate (8)
5	Press tapered roller bearing (6) off rear axle shaft (1)	Do not damage ABS measuring ring.	AR35.30-P-7351-01GW

6	Remove tapered roller bearing cap (2) and dust shield (5) from the rear axle shaft (1).
7	Remove radial shaft sealing ring (3) of tapered roller bearing cap (2)
	Assemble
8	Press radial shaft sealing ring (3) into tapered roller bearing cap (2)	Replace radial shaft sealing ring (3). Fill the space between the dust and sealing lip with grease. Apply a thin coating of grease to the sealing lip.
		Installation position: Flush, up to max. 0.3 mm in tapered roller bearing cap (2).

9	Slide tapered roller bearing cap (2) and dust shield (5) onto rear axle shaft (1)
10	Slide tapered roller bearing (6) onto rear axle shaft (1)
11	Press tapered roller bearing (6) with the locking plate (8) on the rear axle shaft (1)	Replace locking plate (8). The flat side of the locking plate (8) must face the slotted nut with right-hand thread (9.1) or the slotted nut with left-hand thread (9.2).	AR35.30-P-7351-01GW
		The locking plate (8) is fitted to ensure that during the press on process pressure is only applied over the bearing inner race.
		The anti-twist lock for the retaining ring (8) must line up with the cut recess on the rear axle shaft (1). Otherwise the rear axle shaft (1) will be damaged.
		The tapered roller bearing outer race must be rotated during the pressing-on procedure. Otherwise the tapered roller bearing (6) will be damaged.
		Do not damage the ABS measuring ring.

12	Tighten slotted nut with right-hand thread (9.1) or slotted nut with left-hand thread (9.2)	The slotted nut with left-hand thread (9.2) has a circular groove.

13	Secure slotted nut with right-hand thread (9.1) or slotted nut with left-hand thread (9.2) using locking plate (8) on both grooves	The securing process should be performed such that both directions of rotation are locked.
14	Slide square seal (7) onto the tapered roller bearing (6)	Renew square seal (7).
	Install
15	Install rear axle shaft (1)		AR35.30-P-0620GW
