REMOVING Remove
1 Remove lower transverse control arm (1) of front axle at left or right.   AR33.20-P-0510XG
2 Clamp lower transverse control arm (1) in a vise. NOTES
Use soft vise jaws.
Otherwise the lower transverse control arm (1) will be damaged.
IMPORTANT Press out in the direction of the arrow (A).

3 Screw spindle (01) onto thrust piece (02) and position on front elastomer bearing (15). SPECIAL TOOL Extraction and insertion tool Fig 2
4 Fit sleeve (25) on opposite side of lower transverse control arm (1). IMPORTANT To press out, use the sleeve (25) from the specified special tool.

CLEAN Clean
8 Clean press-in surface of front elastomer bearing (15) on lower transverse control arm (1) and remove any existing residues.
INSPECT Check
9 Check condition of lower transverse control arm (1). If there is damage, such as score marks or cracks, on the press-in surface in particular,

Replace lower transverse control arm (1).

INSTALLING Install
10 Coat lip (arrow B) on front elastomer bearing (15) and press-in surface on lower transverse control arm (1) with lubricant. NOTES
Replace front elastomer bearing (15).
Otherwise, correct installation may not be possible.
NOTES
It must be ensured that the lip (arrow B) is sufficiently coated with lubricant for the entire duration of the pressing-in process.
Otherwise the lip (arrow B) breaks off the elastomer bearing (15).
IMPORTANT For the lubricant effect and the working time of the lubricant, refer to the manufacturer's specifications.
