	Remove/install
1	Disconnect the ground line for the on-board electrical system battery (G1).		AR54.10-P-0003XG
2	Remove engine lifting lug at rear right.		AR01.20-P-5012-02XGC
		Bolt, heat shield/rear lifting eye to cylinder head	*BA01.30-P-1003-01N

3	Remove bracket of the ME-SFI control unit (N3/10).		AR07.08-P-7016XGC
		: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.
4	Remove soundproofing (1).
5	Unclip electric line from high-pressure line (4).
6	Remove brackets (7).	: The brackets (7) must be aligned before being bolted on. Ensure the high-pressure line (4) is routed correctly.

7	Remove ground line (5) from cylinder head cover.	Bolt, engine wiring harness ground to cylinder head cover	*BA15.10-P-1003-05F
8	Clean the area around the high-pressure line (4).	Thoroughly clean area around high-pressure line (4) at the locations to be disconnected. Failure can occur otherwise to the fuel system.

9	Pull low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir upward out of the elastomer bearings and place to one side with connected coolant lines.		AR09.41-P-0001XGC
10	Relieve fuel pressure in high-pressure fuel circuit.		AR07.03-P-1460-02MM

11	Remove high-pressure line (4) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.	Do not kink or bend high-pressure line (4). Otherwise leaks and damage can occur.

13	Install in the reverse order.
14	Check fuel high-pressure circuit.

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 15	Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
