	Remove
1	Remove right oil separator.	Engine 178.9 in model 190.381	AR01.20-P-7902MNJ

2	Release and disconnect electrical connectors of right intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/5) and right exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/7).	Engine 178 in model 190
3	Remove screws (2).
4	Carefully loosen right front cover (1) at prying lugs and pull off to the front.	Do not drive any tools between the right front cover (1) and the right cylinder head cover or right cylinder head to loosen. The sealing surface will be damaged otherwise.
5	Remove right intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/5) and right exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/7).	Only when replacing the right front cover (1).

	Clean
6	Clean sealing surfaces on right cylinder head, right cylinder head cover, and right front cover (1).		AR01.00-P-0050-01A
	Notes on application of flange sealants to seal major assemblies		AH00.00-P-0500-01MNE
		Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper. The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise.

	Install
7	Install right intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/5) and right exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/7).	Only when replacing the right front cover (1).

8	Apply sealant to right front cover (1).

9	Position right front cover (1) on cylinder head and cylinder head cover.
10	Tighten screws (2).	Replace screws (2).
		Bolt, chain case cover to cylinder head	*BA01.30-P-1002-01N
11	Connect electrical connectors of right intake camshaft adjustment solenoid (Y49/5) and right exhaust camshaft adjustment solenoid (Y49/7) and lock.

13	Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.

	Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. 	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.
