	Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.	Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.	AS49.00-Z-0001-01A

	Remove/install
1	Remove automatic transmission with torque converter.	: Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test.	AR27.10-P-0500XGC
2	Remove clamps (15, 17) from right rear muffler and left rear muffler.	: Exhaust system must be aligned so that it is free of tension before tightening bolted connections. Otherwise, leaks to the exhaust system will occur. : Install new clamps (15, 17).
		Bolt, clamp for front exhaust system to rear exhaust system	*BA49.10-P-1016-02E
3	Secure right rear muffler and left rear muffler against falling down.
4	Unscrew nuts of the brackets (16, 18) of the left catalytic converter (13) and right catalytic converter (14) from the frame.	Nut, bracket for elastomer bearing for front exhaust system to frame	*BA49.10-P-1015-02E
5	Remove fender liner in left front fender.		AR88.10-P-1300XG
6	Remove lambda sensor on left upstream of catalytic converter (G3/3).		AR07.04-P-0081XGC
7	Remove the oxygen sensor on the left downstream of the catalytic converter (G3/5).		AR07.04-P-0082XGC
8	Remove heat shield above the left catalytic converter (13) and right catalytic converter (14).		AR09.40-P-6044XGC
9	Remove clamps (5) of the left catalytic converter (13) and right catalytic converter (14).	: Observe alignment of the clamps (5). Leaks can occur otherwise. : Install new clamps (5).	AR09.40-P-6018-01MNE
		Bolt, piping for inerting to engine/stationary heater	*BA86.10-P-1002-03J
		Clamp, front exhaust system to turbocharger	*BA49.10-P-1001-02E
10	Remove screws (8).	Bolt, butterfly bracket to catalytic converter	*BA49.10-P-1003-02E
11	Remove bolts_(7).	Bolt, butterfly bracket to bracket	*BA49.10-P-1002-02E
12	Take out the bracket (6) upward.
13	Unscrew screws (10) from bracket (9). 1/	Bolt, exhaust system bracket to front of crankcase	*BA49.10-P-1006-02E
14	Remove bracket (9).
15	Secure right catalytic converter (14) against falling down.
16	Remove hose clamps (31).	Engine 177 in model 463 as of model year 2019 with code KA3 (Gasoline particulate filter (OPF) with sensor system) : Install new hose clamps (31).

17	Remove hoses of the lines (32) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.	Engine 177 in model 463 as of model year 2019 with code KA3 (Gasoline particulate filter (OPF) with sensor system)

19	Unscrew nuts (30).	Engine 177 in model 463 as of model year 2019 with code KA3 (Gasoline particulate filter (OPF) with sensor system)
		Nut, pressure line holder to front exhaust system	*BA49.10-P-1020-02E
20	Remove lines (32) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.	Engine 177 in model 463 as of model year 2019 with code KA3 (Gasoline particulate filter (OPF) with sensor system)

21	Remove screws (23) of the heat shield (22)	M6x1	*BA00.10-P-1002-04A
22	Remove heat shield (22).
23	Remove left catalytic converter (13).
24	Remove combustion and corrosion residues on flange connections.
25	Install in the reverse order.
26	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of the left catalytic converter (13) and right catalytic converter (14).	If there is a problem, ↓ realign left catalytic converter (13) and right catalytic converter (14).
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
27	Perform engine test run to check exhaust system for leaks.
28	Install lower engine compartment lining.		AR61.20-P-1105XG
