| 1 | Remove brake pads on front axle. | AR42.10-P-0170GWV | |
| 2 | Disconnect front brake pad wear sensor electrical connector (5). | ||
| 3 | Remove screw (1) and place front brake pad wear sensor electrical connector (5) to one side. | When replacing brake caliper (2). | |
| 4 | Detach brake hose (3) or brake line (6) from brake caliper (2). | When replacing brake caliper (2). |

| 5 | Collect escaping brake fluid using a suitable container. | ||
| 6 | Seal exposed connections with stop plugs. | Fig 2 | |
| 7 | Unscrew screw/bolts (4). | ||

| 8 | Detach brake caliper (2) from steering knuckle and, if necessary, to vehicle free of tension. | Do not kink or stretch the brake hose (3). Otherwise the brake hose (3) will be damaged |

| Check | |||
| 9 | Check brake caliper (2) and dust boots of brake pistons for leaktightness and damage. | If there are problems ↓ Replace brake caliper (2). |

| Clean | |||
| 10 | Clean contact surfaces of brake pads in brake caliper (2). | While doing so, do not damage the dust boots on the brake piston. Do not use sharp-edged or pointy tools. Otherwise the brake caliper (2) will be damaged. |

| 11 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| 12 | Bleed brake system. | AR42.10-P-0010GW | |
| Check | |||
| 13 | Check brake system for leaks. | If brake hose (3) or brake line (6) was previously removed. | AR42.10-P-0015GW |
| 14 | Perform brake test on test stand. |
