Remove/Install Wiper System - AR82.30-P-6400GW

	Remove/install
	Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.	When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A
1	Switch off wiper system, switch off ignition and remove ignition key	While doing so, the doors and the hood must be closed in order to move the windshield wipers to the rest position. If the ignition is switched on, the windshield wiper system may switch on by itself because of the rain sensor on the windshield.
2	Remove instrument panel		AR68.10-P-1000GW
3	Mark installation position of wiper linkage (6) before removal
4	Pry wiper linkage (6) off wiper crank (5)
5	Fold up cover (1)
6	Unscrew nut (3)	Nut, wiper arm	*BA82.30-P-1003-01B
7	Detach wiper arm (2)	The wiper arm (2) is connected to the wiper bearing axle via a fine toothed centering cone. : Move wiper blade to horizontal position at lower edge of window. Puller	Fig 1
8	Unscrew nuts (4) at wiper shafts (7)	Nut, wiper arm on firewall	*BA82.30-P-1004-01B
9	Remove washers and seals	: Use new seals.
10	Pull wiper shafts (7) out of wiper bearing
11	Remove wiper linkage (6)
12	Install in the reverse order
	Check
13	Check parking position of wiper blades	When in the parking position, the wiper blades must not impair the driver's field of view.
14	Perform wiper system function check
