Remove/Install Cooling Line Of Power Steering System - AR46.25-P-3010GW

Model 463 (except 463.322/323)

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove radiator grille Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019

2 Remove left headlamp unit Model 463 (except 463.242/322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019
AR82.10-P-4730GW
3 Remove left front wheel well lining Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2015
 
4 Extract hydraulic fluid from power steering expansion reservoir IMPORTANT Suction off hydraulic fluid may not be used again.  
    SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 2
5 Thoroughly clean the area surrounding the hydraulic system for the power steering at the connecting points NOTES Before opening the power steering's hydraulic system the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even minute particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can result in malfunctions or damage to the power steering.  
6 Detach hydraulic hose (1, 3) from coolant line (2) of power steering    
7 Collect escaping hydraulic fluid in suitable container    
8 Seal exposed connections with plugs SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 3
9 Detach left horn Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2015
 
10 Detach holder (6) Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2016 up to model year 2019
 
11.1 Unscrew nuts (4) Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2015
 
11.2 Remove screws/bolts (5) Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2016 up to model year 2019
 
12 Remove coolant line (2)    
INSTALLING Install     
13 Install coolant line (2)    
14.1 Tighten nuts (4) Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2015
 
14.2 Screw bolts (5) tight Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2016 up to model year 2019
 
15 Install holder (6) Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2016 up to model year 2019
 
16 Mount left horn Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2015
 
17 Remove stop plugs and fit hydraulic hoses (1, 3) to coolant line (2)    
18 Add hydraulic fluid to power steering expansion reservoir Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019

19 Check connections of installed hoses for leaks    
20 Install left front wheel well lining Model 463 (except 463.322/323)
as of model year 2013 up to model year 2015
 
21 Install left headlamp unit Model 463 (except 463.242/322/323)
