Model 238.4
The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. This must be similarly performed for damage to the right side of the vehicle.
- Mark separating point on A-pillar paneling (1) and cut (area A).
Do not cut too deeply.
The component parts located underneath will otherwise be damaged and the strength affected.
Dimension : a = approx. 60 mm
- Expose MIG solder seams at lugs on roof frame (2) and cut (area B).
- Bend up shackles (area B) at roof frame (2).
- Expose spot welds on A-pillar paneling (1) and cut off (area C).
- Heat A-pillar paneling (1) in cross-hatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded.
- Remove A-pillar paneling (1).
- Remove sealant (area F).
- Remove damping (3), check and replace if necessary.
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
- Remove grinding dust.
