| 2 | Remove electrical wiring harness (2) from soft top canvas (1). | Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. |

| 4 | Mark installation position of bolts (36) at strip (37). | ||
| 5 | Unscrew bolts (36) at strip (37). | ||
| 6 | Remove seal (38) at outer left and right at rails (39) and remove together with strip (37). | ||
| 7 | Mark installation position of bolts (40) on rails (39). | ||
| 8 | Remove bolts (40) from rails (39) and remove rails (39). | Align rails (39) according to markings. |

| 9 | Knock off rivets (3) on left and right tab (4) and remove rivet residues. | riveter |

| 10 | Loosen left and right shackle (4). | ||
| 11 | Remove adhesive strips on cable ends of left and right soft top canvas tensioning cable (5) and unhook cable ends. | ||
| 12 | Pull left and right soft top canvas tensioning cable (5) out of front shackle (6) toward rear. | ||
| 13 | Unhook edge stripping (7) and unhook soft top canvas (1) from hooks (8). | ||
| 14 | Knock off rivet (9) on shackle (10) and front lateral cable (11) on left and right side of vehicle and remove rivet residues. | riveter |

| 21 | Pull left and right soft top canvas tensioning cable (5) out of rear shackle (20) toward rear. | ||
| 22 | Loosen seal (12) from soft top bow (21) and remove. | ||
| 23 | Detach edge stripping (25) from soft top bow (21). | ||
| 24 | Support soft top bow (21) using suitable aids (26) and raise soft top canvas (1) at rear. | ||
| 25 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (27) on left and right side of vehicle and expose electric line. | Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. |

| 26 | Remove bolt (28) on left and right retaining frame (29) of rear window (30) and fold rear window (30) upward. | ||

| 29 | Knock off rivets (33) on left and right on soft top bow (34) and remove rivet residues. | riveter |

| 30 | Remove left and right stop plugs (35) from rear soft top bow (34) and collect rivet residues. | Model 205.4 | |
| 31 | Detach soft top canvas (1) from the front three soft top bows. | Center soft top canvas (1) together with a helper. The openings in the fabric tabs must coincide with the bores on the soft top bow. |

| 32 | Remove soft top canvas (1). | ||
| 33 | Modify required detachable parts including retaining frame (29) at rear window (30). | When replacing the soft top canvas (1). | |
| 34 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| Initial opening of soft top | |||
| 35 | Open soft top. | When replacing the soft top canvas (1). Before initial folding down into soft top compartment, provide initial folding assistance to soft top canvas (1) by pressing in fold area on left and right by hand. Soft top canvas (1) will otherwise not be correctly folded down into soft top compartment. |
