1	Release fuse and relay module on driver side
			AR54.15-P-0003LWE
2	Detach door seals from entrance area at left and right
3	Remove left and right front door sills and remove adhesive residue
Topical note	Notes on removing adhesive residues and foils on paint and metal surfaces with surface conditioning disks	Left and right door sill moldings are no longer required. Use commercially available surface conditioning disk with dia. 100 mm.	AH00.00-P-0013-01AK

5	Remove front floor covering on passenger side

6	Remove front footrest on passenger side
	Install
7	Fit illuminated door sill molding control unit with Mercedes-Benz lettering to the front		AZ82.20-P-0001-05LWP
8	Fit electrical wiring harness of illuminated door sill molding with Mercedes-Benz lettering to the front		AZ82.20-P-0005-01LWP

9	Install left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48)	Retrofit front illuminated door sill molding with Mercedes-Benz lettering	AZ82.20-P-0005-10LWP

	Check
10	Carry out function check	Front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) or front right illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) is switched on by opening the corresponding front door. Automatic shutoff takes place after approx. 5 min.

11	Install remaining parts
	Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)
12	Attach a note "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0005LWP" under field organization texts to design groups 68 and 82
