1. Install rear center section (1) and fit.

   Slightly spread apart body panels (arrows) located one behind the other when retracting/extending rear-end center section (1).

2. Bend down connecting flanges at rear fender.
3. Install trunk lid seal.
4. Install striker eye.
5. Check gaps using feeler gauge and adjust.
6. Fix rear center section (1) in place.
7. Remove trunk lid seal.
8. Remove striker eye.
9. Drill rivet holes in rear-end center section (1) with Ø 6.7 mm through existing holes in body (areas A).
10. Drill rivet holes in rear fender with Ø 6.7 mm through existing holes in body (areas B).
11. Countersunk rivet holes from outside (areas B).
12. Drill rivet holes in rear-end center section (1) with Ø 6.7 mm through existing holes in body (area C).

    The operation step is shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle.

13. Remove rear center section (1).
14. Deburr rivet holes on rear center section (1) and body on both sides.
15. Remove drilling chips.

16. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.

    Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

17. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in cross-hatched area.

    Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

18. Install rear center section (1) and fix in place.
19. Rivet rear-end center section (1) with rivets Ø 6.5x12.5 (areas D).
20. Rivet rear-end center section (1) with countersunk-head blind rivets Ø 6.4x14.0 (areas E).
21. Rear center section (1) (areas F).

22. Install rear center section (1) and fix in place.
23. Rivet rear-end center section (1) with rivets Ø 6.5x12.5 (areas D).
24. Rivet rear-end center section (1) with countersunk-head blind rivets Ø 6.4x14.0 (areas E).
25. Rear center section (1) (areas F).

    The following operation steps 26 and 27 are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be similarly performed on the right side of the vehicle.

26. Rivet rear-end center section (1) with rivets Ø 6.4x12 (area G).
27. Rear center section (1) (areas H).
