1. Bring cover (24) of fiber-optic cable adapter (26) into assembly position.

2. Release lock on coupling (31) and pull out carrier (32).

   Danger of breaking! Do not kink or stretch fiber-optic cables (1x, 2x) and do not route them over sharp edges. The bending radius must not be smaller than 25 mm. Clamps or cable ties for securing the fiber-optic cables (1x, 2x) must not be fastened tightly.

   System malfunctions could otherwise occur and the fiber-optic cables (1x, 2x) could break.

   The carrier (32) and the coupling (31) are installed on the vehicle.

3. Remove blue retaining clip (3n) from carrier (32).
4. Release lock on carrier (32) and remove fiber-optic cable (1x).

5. Insert fiber-optic cable (1x) into fiber-optic cable adapter (26).

   The fiber-optic cable (1x) must engage audibly.

6. Release lock on carrier (32) and remove fiber-optic cable (2x).

7. Insert fiber-optic cable (2x) into fiber-optic cable adapter (26).

   The fiber-optic cable (2x) must engage audibly.

8. Clip cover (24) onto fiber-optic cable adapter (26) (arrow).
9. Wrap felt tape around fiber-optic cable adapter (26).
10. Use adhesive felt strips to affix fiber-optic cable adapter (26) at a suitable location.
