The following handling notes must be observed for all repair work which requires optical couplings to be disconnected.

Otherwise the transmitted light pulses will be dampened and the quality of data transfer impaired.

• During repair work, the covers of the fiber optic cables on the device connection or on the plug of the optical cable set must not be removed prematurely.
• Disconnected optical connectors must be covered immediately.
• Do not kink fiber optic cables, lay them over sharp edges or in radii smaller than 25 mm.
• Do not expose optical fibers to temperatures higher than 85 ° C or lower than -40 ° C.

  The covers of the optical fibers at the device connection or at the connector of the optical wiring harness cannot be separately acquired. The covers of the installed replacement parts or a dry rag can be used.
