	Remove/install
1	Move steering wheel (6) all the way upward.
2	Disconnect ground line from battery.	Model 293	AR54.10-P-0003EQ

3.1	Insert hexagon socket screwdriver (1) into right and left opening (arrow) on steering wheel (6) and push respective end of spring (2) inwards until the driver's airbag (4) is released.	Model 205 Model 213 up to Model year 2021 Model 238 up to Model year 2021 Model 253 Model 293 Angle: a = approx. 10° Use commercially available Allen wrench (1) with a size of 4 mm. When removing the driver's airbag (4) for the first time, pierce the steering wheel (6) at the right and left opening (arrow). The ends of the spring (2) must audibly engage into the mounts (5) of the driver's airbag (4).
3.2	Insert extraction hook (7) into release opening (8) on steering wheel (6).	Model 213, 238 as of Model year 2021 When removing the driver airbag (4) for the first time, pierce the release opening (8) or the steering wheel (6). Extraction hook	Fig 1
4	Release safety spring (9) of driver's airbag (4) using extraction hook (7) in direction of arrow and lift off steering wheel (6).	Model 213, 238 as of Model year 2021 The driver's airbag (4) must audibly engage in the steering wheel (6).
5	Remove driver's airbag (4) then release and disconnect electrical connector (3).	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. Installation: Make sure that the electrical connector (3) engages properly.
6	Dispose of driver's airbag (4) properly.	When replacing driver's airbag (4).
7	Install in the reverse order.
8	Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) with diagnostic device.	When replacing driver's airbag (4).
