| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||

| 3 | Remove nuts (1). | ||
| 4 | Remove left rear lamp unit (E3) or right rear lamp unit (E4) until the electrical connector is accessible. | Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension This will result in damage to the lines which may impair their functional capability. |

| 5 | Release and disconnect the electrical connector. | Position left rear lamp unit (E3) or right rear lamp unit (E4) carefully. Otherwise the surrounding parts will be damaged. |

| 6 | Install in the reverse order. |
