	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under Pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid.	Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.	AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
	Remove/install
1	Hoist vehicle with lifting platform until wheels are free		AR00.60-P-1000V
2	Open engine hood and move to vertical position		AR88.40-P-1000V
3.1	Remove left engine intake air duct (2)	Model 171 with engine 113
3.2	Remove front engine cover	Model 172 with engine 276, 651 up to model year 2016
4	Remove cap from Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1)	Press the cap downwards and turn counterclockwise through 90°.
	Filling
5	Fill Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1) with MB steering gear oil	Do not  start the engine! If the engine is started, there is a risk of air entering the hydraulic steering, which is then extremely difficult to remove. Fill the Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1) up to approx. 10 mm below the upper edge of the reservoir with MB steering gear oil. Refill with MB-steering gear oil continuously until the oil level remains constant. Power steering	*BF46.20-P-1001-01A
	Bleeding
6	Turn steering wheel from steering stop to steering stop	Do not start the engine! If the engine is started, there is a risk of air entering the hydraulic steering, which is then extremely difficult to remove. Turn the steering wheel slowly from steering stop to steering stop until no more bubbles can be found in the Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1). Repeat turning the steering from stop to stop several times (up to 30 times). During this process, MB steering gear oil must be poured into the Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1) by a second person.
7	Start engine without moving the steering	Allow engine to run for Approx.. 1 min. at idle speed. During this process, a second person must observe the oil level in the Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1) and add MB steering gear oil as required.
8	Turn steering wheel from steering stop to steering stop	With the engine running, turn the steering wheel slowly several times from steering stop to steering stop, occasionally adding MB steering gear oil to the Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1). Repeat the procedure until the oil level in the Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1) remains constant and bubbles are no longer visible.
	Check
9	Check oil level in Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1) and fill up to maximum fill level	The oil level in the Expansion reservoir (Power steering) (1) must always be filled up to the maximum level.	AP46.00-P-4611V
10	Check steering with engine running for leaktightness and proper operation	In the event of leakage, find and eliminate cause.
11	Install in the reverse order
