| Model 231 with code U60 (Pedestrian protection - Active hood) | AR88.20-P-2000RK | ||
| 2 | Set down front bumper (1) on a suitable base | ||
| 3 | Remove hose (4) from groove in impact absorber (3) | Ensure that hose (4) is seated correctly in impact absorber (3). Hose (4) must be routed without tension or kinks. Malfunctions can occur otherwise. |

| 4 | Disconnect electrical connectors at left front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1) and right front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/3) | ||
| 5 | Remove left and right expansion rivet (2) | ||
| 6 | Remove left front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1) and right front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/3) together with hose (4) from front bumper (1) | Left front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1) and right front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/3) must not be disconnected from hose (4). Malfunctions can occur otherwise. |
