Remove/Install Retaining Lock For Crankshaft/Ring Gear - AR03.30-P-5000W

	Installing, removing
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
1	Remove bottom engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105W
2	Unscrew nuts (1) and remove bolts from transmission bell		*BA27.40-P-1008-01A
3	Remove cover (2) from crankcase
	Checking
4	Check splines of ring gear for drive plate	Check splines for wear and damage by rotating engine at the center bolt for crankshaft in its direction of rotation. If necessary: ↓
		Replace drive plate.	AR03.30-P-8001W

	Risk of injury  caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush  or, in extreme cases, even sever  extremities	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
5	Insert retaining lock (01) into access opening	If required, rotate engine further at center bolt for crankshaft in engine's direction of rotation until the retaining lock (01) snaps into place.

6	Remove in the reverse order
