1	Drain off coolant in the low-temperature circuit		AR09.41-P-6834RKA

3	Remove right rail insulation
4	Remove screw/bolt (7) and place vent line to one side
5	Remove right charge air pipe		AR09.41-P-1311RKA
6	Release and disconnect electrical connection (8)
7	Detach coolant feed pipe from ATL (4) and place to one side		AR20.20-P-7440RKA
8	Detach coolant return line at ATL (4) and the bracket of the coolant return line at ATL (4) and place to one side		AR20.20-P-7440RKA
9	Detach right bracket of CAT on transmission	ENGINE 276.8 in model 231 Bolt, bracket for front exhaust system to exhaust system/transmission	*BA49.10-P-1002-01AM
10	Remove right catalytic converter	ENGINE 276.8 in model 172	AR49.10-P-5503WA
11	Detach oil feed line on ATL (4)		AR09.40-P-0003WA
12	Detach oil return line on ATL (4)		AR09.40-P-0005WA
13	Detach vacuum hose (3) at vacuum unit (2)
14	Detach coolant expansion reservoir and place with attached hoses and lines to one side	ENGINE 276.8 in model 231	AR20.30-P-4950RK
15	Remove camshaft Hall sensor	ENGINE 276.8 in model 231	AR15.10-P-2000RKA
16	Open clamp (5) and disconnect flange connection between ATL (4) and exhaust pipe	: Replace clamp (5) and seal. : The dowel pin on right exhaust pipe must be set in the notch on the right ATL (4). After screwing down the clamp (5) using the prescribed torque there should be no further gap on the right clamp lock. 17	Unscrew nuts (1) in reverse order to the tightening procedure of exhaust manifold; remove peg board	Tightening procedure for exhaust manifold	AR14.10-P-3000-01MM

18.1	Unclip ATL (4) from terminal rail (6) and remove upwards	ENGINE 276.8 in model 231 : Replace seal.
18.2	Unclip ATL (4) from terminal rail (6) and remove upwards	ENGINE 276.8 in model 172 : Replace seal.
19	Install in the reverse order
20.1	Check oil level in engine and correct if necessary	When reusing the ATL (4).	AP18.00-P-1811MP
20.2	Carry out engine oil and filter change	Only when replacing ATL (4).	AP18.00-P-0101CWZ
	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
21	Perform an engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leaktightness
