Remove/install front bumper - AR88.20-P-2000RK

NOTES General information on the impact absorber   AH88.20-P-1000-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Disconnect battery ground line Model 231
with code U60 (Active Bonnet (Pedestrian protection))
AR54.10-P-0003RK
2 Lift vehicle with lifting platform   AR00.60-P-1000TX
3 Loosen front section of fender liner   AR88.10-P-1300RK 
4 Disconnect electrical connectors (3, 4, 5) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors may vary depending on the equipment.  
5 Disconnect washer fluid hose connector (13) Model 231
with code 610 (Night view assist)
 
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   IMPORTANT Collect escaping washer fluid using suitable container. AP82.35-P-8210EW
6 Remove bolts (2)    
7 Remove screw/bolts (8, 9)    
8 Unscrew bolts on bumper (1) from fender (6) at top Model 231 as of model year 2017  
9 Press bumper (1) in direction of arrow and unhook from bracket (7)    
10 Disengage catch hook (11) upward    
11 Remove bumper with aid of helper until electrical connector (12) is accessible Model 231
with code 610 (Night view assist)
 
12 Disconnect electrical connector (12) from infrared camera (14) Model 231
with code 610 (Night view assist)
 
13 Pull bumper (1) out of guide (10) and remove INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Guide bumper (1) into guide (10).  
14 Check front bumper pedestrian protection sensor for any kind of damage (cracks, holes, kins, etc.) Model 231
with code U60 (Active Bonnet (Pedestrian protection))
 
NOTES Notes on pedestrian protection sensor   AH91.60-P-0001-01A
    If damage is visible.

Replace pedestrian protection sensor
AR91.60-P-0950RK
15 Install in the reverse order    
16 Calibrate infrared camera (14) with diagnostic tester Model 231 with code 610 (Night view assist) AR54.30-P-3008LF
