	Remove/install
1	Drain air conditioning system		AR83.30-P-1760LF
2	Remove right underfloor paneling		AR61.30-P-1001LF
3	Remove right fender liner from front fender		AR88.10-P-1300LF
4	Drain coolant	Model 222 with engine 157, 276.9, 278, 642 with code 582 (Air conditioning, rear)	AR20.00-P-1142LF

5	Remove coolant hoses (8) from coolant lines (9)	Collect escaping coolant in a suitable vessel.
6	Move driver and front passenger seat to the very front
7	Remove center console	Model 222 up to model year 2018 with code 582 (Air conditioning, rear)	AR68.20-P-2000LF
		Model 222 as of model year 2018 with code 582 (Air conditioning, rear)	AR68.20-P-2000LFM
8	Remove matting (2) from rear air conditioner housing (1)
9	Expose wiring harness (5) at rear air conditioner housing (1)
10	Disconnect actuator motor electrical connectors (7) and temperature sensor electrical connectors (6)
11	Remove screws/bolts (13) and remove cover (14)	Model 222 with code 1U6 (R744 refrigerant) with code 582 (Air conditioning, rear)
12.1	Remove screw/bolt (3) and disconnect refrigerant lines connector (4) with refrigerator lines	Model 222 with code 582 (Air conditioning, rear) except code 1U6 (R744 refrigerant) :  Replace sealing rings of refrigerant lines.
		Bolt/nut, refrigerant line to inner heat exchanger	*BA83.30-P-1004-01P
12.2	Remove screws/bolts (15) and pull off clock spring contact (16)	Model 222 with code 1U6 (R744 refrigerant) with code 582 (Air conditioning, rear) :  Do not use any tools to sever the connections and avoid damage (scratches, notches) to the sealing surfaces. Otherwise, the integrity of the refrigerant circuit can no longer be ensured. :  Replace gaskets.
		Bolt/nut, refrigerant line to inner heat exchanger If damage (scratches, notches) occurs to the sealing surfaces ↓ Replace corresponding component.	*BA83.30-P-1004-01P
13	Use suitable stop plugs to seal openings	Record plug	Fig 2
14	Remove screws/bolts (10) and disconnect refrigerant lines connector (11) of coolant lines

15	Use suitable stop plugs to seal openings	Record plug	Fig 2
16	Press floor covering in area of rear air conditioner housing (1) to one side
17	Remove screw/bolts (12)
18	Remove rear air conditioner housing (1) from vehicle	Make sure escaping coolant does not penetrate the vehicle interior.
19	Install in the reverse order
