	Remove
1	Remove left-hand air filter housing	Engine 276.823 in model 213, 238	AR09.10-P-1151MND
2	Remove soundproofing of left rail	Engine 276.823 in model 213, 238
3	Unclip electrical connections (23, 24), release and disconnect	Engine 276.823 in model 213, 238
4	Remove rear lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105LWE
5	Unclip electrical connections (25, 26), release and disconnect	Engine 276.853 in model 213
6	Remove screw/bolts of holder (9) of the CAT (1) on transmission and remove CAT (1) downwards
7	Detach screw/bolts (10) of CAT (1) from exhaust line
8	Remove screw/bolt at clamp (3) on center exhaust system
9	Take off clamp (3) and remove CAT (1) downwards
10	Modify oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (4)	When replacing catalytic converter (1).	AR07.04-P-0083MND
11	Modify oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (5)	When replacing catalytic converter (1).	AR07.04-P-0084MND
12	Remove exhaust line to ATL	When replacing the ATL (1).	AR09.40-P-6037MND
13	Remove combustion and corrosion residue at connecting points
	Install
14	Install new exhaust line to ATL	When replacing the CAT (1).	AR09.40-P-6037MND
15	Replace sealing ring on CAT (1) to center exhaust systems
16	Position CAT (1)
17	Position clamp (3)
18	Tighten screw/bolts of holder (9) of CAT (1) on torque converter housing lightly by hand
19	Tighten screw/bolts (10) of CAT (1) at the exhaust line slightly by hand	Replace screw/bolts (10).
20	Tighten screw/bolt of clamp (3) at center exhaust system lightly by hand	Replace clamp (3).
21	Check installation position and unobstructed movement of catalytic converter (1)
22	Tighten screw/bolts of holder (9) of CAT (1) on torque converter housing	Engine 276.8 in model 213Nut/bolt, catalytic converter bracket to torque converter housing/engine	*BA49.10-P-1007-02G

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 29	Carry out an engine test run and check exhaust system for leaktightness
