| 1 | Remove front seat. | AR91.10-P-1000MFA | |
| 2 | Remove side covers. | AR91.10-P-1201MFD | |
| 3 | Unclip trims (1) on lower side toward rear (A), unclip on sides along side (B) and remove. | ||
| 4 | Unscrew screws (2) and remove cover (3). | *BA91.60-P-1012-01Q | |
| 5 | Unhook terminal strips (4). | ||
| 6 | Remove cover (5) at bottom of seat backrest and turn inside out. | Fig 1 | |
| 7 | Release outer cover (5) all-around at seat backrest and turn inside out. | Fig 1 | |
| 8 | Unhook outer cover (5) from trim element (6). | Fig 1 | |
| 9 | Release seat backrest padding (7) all-round from seat backrest until electrical connector (8) is accessible. | ||
| 10 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (8). | ||
| 11 | Remove seat backrest padding (7) with outer cover (5). | ||
| 12 | Remove outer cover (5) from seat backrest padding (7). | If seat backrest padding (7) is replaced. | AR91.10-P-8656MFD |
| 13 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

| 14 | Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and clear if necessary. | ||
