Check Exterior Lights For Proper Operation - AP82.10-D-8252TS

INSPECT Check     
1 Check left and right parking lights successively for proper operation.. If installed.
IMPORTANT Check with ignition switched off. If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
2 Check hazard warning lights and associated indicator lamps for proper operation. If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
3 Switch on ignition.    
4 Check standing lights, taillamps, license plate lamps and associated indicator lamps for proper operation. IMPORTANT Depending on the equipment installed, additional lamps (e.g. side marker lamps) may also be installed, and these should also be checked for proper operation.
If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
5 Check low beams and associated indicator lamps for proper operation. Combination switch (5) in center position (A).
IMPORTANT Depending on the equipment installed, additional headlamps may be installed, and these should also be checked for proper operation.
If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
6 Check headlamp height adjustment for proper operation. IMPORTANT To do so, turn headlamp range adjuster (3 in stages, then turn to position "0".
If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
7 Check high beams (B) and associated indicator lamps for proper operation. IMPORTANT Depending on the equipment installed, additional headlamps may be installed, and these should also be checked for proper operation.
If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
8 Check headlamp flasher (C) and associated indicator lamp for proper operation. If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
9 Check rear fog lamp and associated indicator lamp for proper operation. Light switch (1) in "AUTO" or "Low beams" position.
If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
10 Check front fog lamps and associated indicator lamp for proper operation. With code L13 (Front fog lamp with cornering light)
Light switch (1) in "Auto" or "Low beams" position, combination switch (5) in center position (A).
If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
11 Switch off lights.    
12 Check left turn signal light (E) and right turn signal light (D) and respective associated indicator lamps successively for proper operation. If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
13 Check backup lamps for proper operation. If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
14 Check brake light for proper operation. If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
15 Apply parking brake.    
WARNING Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
16 Start engine.    
17 Check daytime running lamps for proper operation. Light switch (1) in "AUTO" position.
If a defect is found,

Determine cause and rectify fault.
IMPORTANT Subject to separate repair order.
 
18 Switch off engine.
