Headless screws/bolts: screws/bolts and nuts, coarse-pitch thread

HEADLESS SCREWS/BOLTS: SCREWS/BOLTS AND NUTS, COARSE-PITCH THREAD

Do not kink any electric lines and ensure that they are routed without any chafing.

This prevents damage.

The following fuse slots can be used:

Electrical fuse 15-1 (F152f15-1)

Electrical fuse 15-2 (F152f15-2)

Model 907.6/7 except code E2I (Auxiliary battery for retrofit consumer, vehicle interior) except code E2M (Auxiliary battery for retrofit consumer, engine compartment)

The following fuse slots can be used:

Electrical fuse 24 (F152f24)

Electrical fuse 25 (F152f25)

Electrical fuse 26 (F152f26)

Electrical fuse 27 (F152f27)

Shown on model 907.6 

1. Route electrical wiring harness (1) as shown.

   Loosely fasten electrical wiring harness (1) in sections at factory-installed electrical wiring harness or at a suitable position using cable ties.

2. Disconnect fabric tape (23) of electrical wiring harness (1).
3. Remove cover (21) of line connector (22).
4. Disconnect electric line of contact socket (2) of electrical wiring harness (1) that is no longer required from line connector (22).
5. Attach cover (21) to line connector (22).
6. Fasten cover (21) with fabric tape and insulate.
7. Attach new fabric tape (23) as shown.

8. Check plug (27) for free contact cavity.

   If a free contact cavity is present in plug (27):

   ↓

   Disconnect plug (27) from vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152).

   To do so, remove fuse (F15/2).

   If there is no free contact cavity in plug (27):

   ↓

   Disconnect plug (28) from vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152).

   To do so, remove fuse (F15/1).

9. Install contact socket (20) of electrical wiring harness (1) into free contact cavity in corresponding plug (27, 28).
10. Connect corresponding plug (27, 28) to vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152).
11. Install corresponding fuse (F15/2, F15/1).
12. Disconnect plug (24) of electrical wiring harness (1) from electrical wiring harness (25).
13. Release plug (24) (arrow C).
14. Release and disconnect electrical connector (RBA1) from signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit (N10).

15. Disassemble electrical connector (RBA1).

    To do so, release plug housing, guide out plugs and disconnect from each other.

16. Remove electric line (26) "BU/WH" of contact cavity 11 of electrical connector (RBA1).
17. Install electric line "BU/WH" of electrical wiring harness (25) in contact cavity 11 of electrical connector (RBA1).
18. Install removed electric line (26) "BU/WH" in plug (24).
19. Lock plug (24).
20. Connect plug (24) to electrical wiring harness (25).
21. Assemble electrical connector (RBA1).

    To do so, connect plugs, guide into plug housing and lock.

22. Strap down extended length of electric line (26) "BU/WH" and electrical wiring harness (25) at a suitable point using fabric tape.
23. Connect electrical connector (RBA1) to SAM control unit (N10).

24. Connect plug (3) of electrical wiring harness (1) to plug (8) of inside rearview mirror (9).
25. Route electrical wiring harness (15) as shown.

    Loosely fasten electrical wiring harness (15) in sections at factory-installed electrical wiring harness or at a suitable position using cable ties.

26. Connect plug (4) of electrical wiring harness (1) to plug (16) of electrical wiring harness (15).
27. Connect plug (5) of electrical wiring harness (1) to plug (14) of electrical wiring harness (15).
28. Connect plug (10) of electrical wiring harness (15) to plug (13) of reversing camera (B84/3).
29. Connect plug (11) of electrical wiring harness (15) to plug (12) of reversing camera (B84/3).
30. Tighten loosely attached cable ties on complete electrical wiring harness (15).

    If necessary,

    ↓

    Strap down extended length of electrical wiring harness (15) at a suitable point.

31. Remove nut of MWH cockpit ground point (W105/3).
32. Connect cable lug (6) of electrical wiring harness (1) to MWH cockpit ground point (W105/3).
33. Attach nut of MWH cockpit ground point (W105/3) S.
34. Tighten loosely attached cable ties on complete electrical wiring harness (1).

    If necessary,

    ↓

    Strap down extended length of electrical wiring harness (1) at a suitable point.
