	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
	Remove/install
1	Remove front paneling (2) and side paneling (3) at seat frame		AR91.10-P-1200LF
2	Unhook edge stripping of seat cushion (1) at seat cushion frame (area a)	Extraction hook	Fig 2
3	Disconnect and expose electrical connectors (5)	The number of electrical connectors (5) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.
4	Release and remove seat occupied recognition electrical connector (4.1) in connector housing (4) using suitable means	Model 222 with code U18 (Automatic child seat recognition (ACSR)) During removal of seat cushion (1) on front passenger seat. Carefully release seat occupied recognition electrical connector (4.1). Otherwise there is a risk of breakage of the connector housing (4).
5	Expose electrical wiring harness of seat occupied recognition	Model 222 with code U18 (Automatic child seat recognition (ACSR)) During removal of seat cushion (1) on front passenger seat.
6	Disconnect electrical connector from weight sensing system (WSS) (11)	Model 217, 222 with code U10 (Automatic seat occupancy recognition and child seat recognition) During removal of seat cushion (1) on front passenger seat.
7	Remove screw/bolt (10) and remove weight sensing system (WSS) sensor (9) from bracket	Model 217, 222 with code U10 (Automatic seat occupancy recognition and child seat recognition) During removal of seat cushion (1) on front passenger seat. :  The correct installation position of the corrugated hose and weight sensing system (WSS) sensor (9) must be noted.
8	Unhook edge stripping (6) of seat cushion (1) at seat cushion frame
9	Unhook edge stripping of seat cushion (1) at seat cushion frame (area b)	Extraction hook	Fig 2
10	Unhook edge stripping of seat cushion (1) at seat cushion frame (area c)	Extraction hook	Fig 2
11	Slide seat cushion (1) toward rear and unhook wire hoop (8) from hook (7)	Carefully unhook seat cushion (1). Otherwise wire hoop (8) can be torn out of foam material of seat cushion (1). Installation: It must be ensured that the wire bracket (8) is sitting correctly in the hook (7).
12	Lift and remove seat cushion (1)	Model 217, 222 with code U10 (Automatic seat occupancy recognition and child seat recognition) :  The sensor mat of the weight sensing system (WSS) must be fixed in place on the seat cushion (1) of the front passenger seat using duct tape. The installation position of electrical connectors (5) and the routing of the respective wiring harnesses must be observed.
13	Install in the reverse order
	Initial startup
14	Perform weight sensing system (WSS) commissioning	Model 217, 222 with code U10 (Automatic seat occupancy recognition and child seat recognition) During removal of seat cushion (1) on front passenger seat.
