Remove/Install Rear Seat Active Belt Buckle - AR91.40-P-1521LF

	Remove
1	Remove left or right rear seat backrest (2)	Model 222.0/1/9 with code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) with code P36 (PRE-SAFE® rear package) Model 222.0/1/9 with code 224 (Individual rear seats) with code P36 (PRE-SAFE® rear package)	AR91.12-P-1620LFA
2	Cut through insulation (3), as shown
3	Fold insulation (3) forward
4	Detach electrical connector (4, 6)
5	Unscrew nuts (5)
6	Remove seat belt buckle (1)
	Install
7	Position belt buckle (1) at installation location
8	Tighten nuts (5) finger-tight	Belt buckle (1) must still be able to be moved.
9	Use the feeler gauge (9) to set dimension "a" between the vehicle floor (8) and the belt buckle bracket (7)	Dimension "a" corresponds to 3.0 mm. The feeler gauge (9) is used to set the distance that the bracket for the rear seat backrest (2) requires to be able to retract between the vehicle floor (8) and the belt buckle bracket (7). 10	Tighten nuts (5)	While tightening the nuts (5), leave the feeler gauge (9) inserted as a spacer between the belt buckle bracket (7) and the vehicle floor (8). Bolt/nut for rear belt buckle	*BA91.40-P-1008-01T
11	Check dimension "a" again, if necessary repeat adjustment procedure	Dimension "a" corresponds to 3.0 mm. If the feeler gauge (9) cannot be easily slipped in between the belt buckle bracket (7) and the vehicle floor (8), the rear seat backrest (2) will be difficult to assemble. Feeler gauge	Fig 1
12	Connect diagnostic system and update active belt buckle control unit	Only when replacing belt buckle (1).
		The cycle number for the corresponding belt buckle (1) must be reset to the value "Zero" in the active belt buckle control unit.	AD00.00-P-2000-04B
