3	Release fuse and relay module on driver's side
4	Remove B-pillar trim at bottom left and right	Model 222.1 up to model year 2017

5.1	Remove door sills at front left and right and remove any adhesive residue	Model 222.0/1 up to model year 2017
Topical note	Notes on removing adhesive residues and foils on paint and metal surfaces with surface conditioning disks	The door sills at front left and right are no longer required. Use commercially available surface conditioning disk with dia. 100 mm.	AH00.00-P-0013-01AK
5.2	Remove door sills at rear left and right and remove any adhesive residue	Model 222.1 up to model year 2017

13	Carry out function check	The front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) or front right illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) is switched on by opening the corresponding front door. The rear left illuminated door sill molding (E17/51) or rear right illuminated door sill molding (E17/52) is switched on by opening the corresponding rear door. Automatic shutoff takes place after approx. 5 min.
