Transmission 725.06/09 

Wet clutch removed 

Transmission 725.103 

Wet clutch removed 

Transmission 725.163 

Wet clutch removed

CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Pry radial shaft sealing ring (2) out of transmission firewall cover (3) using a suitable tool NOTES
Do not damage the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (2).
Otherwise, the transmission will be damaged.
NOTES
Ensure maximum cleanliness when performing work on the transmission.
Otherwise, even the smallest foreign particle in the hydraulic components of the transmission can lead to malfunctions or a total failure of the transmission.
IMPORTANT For cleaning, use lint-free cleaning cloth. Chamois leathers are the most suitable.
 
2 Check seat of radial shaft sealing ring (2) for damage and galling If a problem arises

Install a new transmission firewall cover (3).

INSTALLING Install     
3 Moisten new radial shaft sealing ring sealing lip (2) with transmission oil    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.17)   BB00.40-P-0236-17A
4 Drive new radial shaft sealing ring (2) into transmission firewall cover (3) using drift (01) SPECIAL TOOL Drift Fig 1
