	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A

	Remove
1	Remove cover from engine compartment at left front
	Clean
2	Clean area surrounding connecting point between expansion reservoir (2) and dipstick (1)	Before opening the hydraulic circuit, the area surrounding the connecting point is to be thoroughly cleaned. Otherwise, even the smallest particles of dirt introduced into the hydraulic components can lead to damage and malfunctions.
	Check
3	Unload the vehicle	The fluid level can only be measured correctly when the vehicle is ready to drive and unladen.
4	Start engine
5	Raise the vehicle level when the engine is running and lower to the normal level	To do so, press level control switch (3) repeatedly. The indicator lamp in the level control switch (3) must go out.
6	Pull dipstick (1) out of the expansion reservoir (2) and wipe with a lint free cloth
7	Push the dipstick (1) into the expansion reservoir (2), pull out, and read off fluid level on the dipstick (1)	Hold dipstick (1) in vertical position. Measurement errors occur otherwise. The fluid level must be within the area shown hatched.
8	Correct the fluid level in the expansion reservoir (2) if necessary	Use only the funnel for refilling. Clean funnel before use and do not use to fill with other operating fluids. Otherwise malfunctions and damage may occur.

		Funnel If the fluid level is too high: ↓ Extract fluid up to "MAX" marking subject to separate repair order. If the fluid level is too low: ↓ Determine cause and eliminate after obtaining separate order.	Fig 1
9	Switch off engine and return vehicle to original condition
	Install
10	Install cover onto engine compartment at left front
