• Clean the area around connection fittings and hose connections properly before start of repair.
• Always close off open connection fittings and hose connections in order to prevent dirt particles entering the system.
• Ensure absolute cleanliness when pouring in the hydraulic fluid.
• When bleeding the ABC system and when running the engine, make sure that the hydraulic fluid reservoir always contains an adequate amount of hydraulic fluid. The hydraulic pump must never draw in air.
• Do not use the funnel with filter that is used for filling in hydraulic fluid for other operating fluids. Store the funnel with filter in a separate cabinet.
• Always move the steering to the straight-ahead position if the vehicle is to remain unused for a long period of time.

Carefully open bleed screws (56, 57) so that the hydraulic fluid can flow out slowly.

This helps to prevent the body from lowering too quickly.

Use the bleed screw (56, 57) to drain the hydraulic fluid, then dispose of the fluid.

• The ABC fluid-return circuit contains a distribution valve with a booster valve and a temperature sensor.
