Clean Fire Extinguishing System - AR86.10-P-0120LFS

Model 222.1 

with code Z21 (Fire extinguishing system) 

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove fire extinguisher agent reservoir   AR86.10-P-0100LFS 
2 Connect compressed air flushing connection to extinguishing agent pipes IMPORTANT The compressed air flushing connection for extinguishing lines can be obtained from the fire extinguishing system manufacturer.  
3 Connect compressed air hose to compressed air flushing connection    
4 Remove end pieces caps of extinguishing agent lines in engine compartment    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
5 Lift vehicle on vehicle lift    
6 Remove caps on spray nozzle on underfloor    
INSPECT Check     
7 Connect compressed air hose to workshop compressed air supply IMPORTANT Pressure approx. 10 bars.  
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes from particles when blowing out extinguishing agent lines Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS86.00-Z-0005-01B 
8 Check extinguishing agent outlet holes for spray nozzles as well as for end pieces on extinguishing agent lines in engine compartment for air outlet IMPORTANT The fire extinguishing system should be cleaned outside or in well-ventilated rooms.  
9 Disconnect compressed air hose from workshop compressed air supply    
CLEAN Clean     
10 Check extinguishing agent outlet holes for spray nozzles as well as for end pieces on extinguishing agent lines in engine compartment with suitable tool    
11 Check air outlet on spray nozzles again    
12 Replace spray nozzles on fire extinguishing system Model 222.1
with code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)
with code Z21 (Fire extinguishing system)
If spray nozzle is soiled extremely.
 
      AR86.10-P-0118LFS 
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes from particles when blowing out extinguishing agent lines Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS86.00-Z-0005-01B 
13 Connect compressed air hose to workshop compressed air supply and again check spray nozzles and end pieces on extinguishing agent lines in engine compartment for air outlet IMPORTANT After cleaning or replacing. Pressure approx. 10 bars.  
14 Disconnect compressed air hose from workshop compressed air supply. If necessary, repeat cleaning    
15 Blow out engine fire extinguishing system temperature sensor on front engine compartment paneling and rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensor with compressed air and remove dirt IMPORTANT Contaminated engine fire extinguishing system temperature sensor and rear fire extinguishing system temperature sensor can influence the fire extinguishing system function.  
INSTALLING Install     
16 Install caps on spray nozzles on underfloor IMPORTANT Ensure that caps are seated correctly, replace caps if necessary.  
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
17 Lower vehicle    
18 Remove compressed air flushing connection    
19 Install extinguishing agent reservoir   AR86.10-P-0100LFS 
20 Install caps on end pieces of fire extinguishing agent lines in engine compartment IMPORTANT Ensure that caps are seated correctly, replace caps if necessary.  
CLEAN Clean     
21 Blow out engine fire extinguishing system temperature sensor on suspension strut tower with compressed air and remove dirt IMPORTANT Contaminated engine fire extinguishing system temperature sensor can influence the function of the fire extinguishing system.
