| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Remove cover above brake fluid expansion reservoir. | ||
| 3 | Clean area around cap on brake fluid expansion reservoir. | Assembly cleaner | *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A |
| 4 | Unscrew cap on brake fluid expansion reservoir and suction off some brake fluid. | ||
| 5 | Remove front wheel and tire assemblies. | AR40.10-P-1102A | |
| 6 | Release and disconnect electrical connector of right front brake wear sensor (S10/2). | If the brakepads (6) on the right side of the vehicle are removed. | |
| 7 | Remove screw (2) and remove electrical connector coupling (1) from brake caliper (3). | If the brakepads (6) on the right side of the vehicle are removed. | |

| 8 | Hammer out retaining pins (4) with punch. | Make sure that the retaining spring (7) is seated correctly. |

| 9 | Remove screws (5), remove brake caliper (3) from wheel carrier and secure brake caliper (3) with suitable means against falling down. | *BA42.10-P-1001-10V | |
| 10 | Remove brakepads (6) forwards from brake caliper (3). | Otherwise malfunctions will occur. |
