Remove/Install Elastomer Bearing Of Camber Strut On Wheel Carrier - AR35.20-P-3404LWX

  Notes on handling, transport and storage of composite brake disks   AH42.10-P-9406-12LF
  Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process   AH00.00-P-0020-01A
  Notes on handling, transport and storage of ceramic brake disks   AH42.10-P-9406-13A
  Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
  Notes on repair work on suspension components   AH00.00-P-0100-01A
REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove rear wheel   AR40.10-P-1102A
2 Unhook electrical line of electric parking brake from holder on wheel carrier (4)    
3 Unhook electrical line of shock absorber from bracket on wheel carrier (4)    
4 Remove bracket from brake cover plate (6)    
5 Detach camber strut (1) from wheel carrier (4) and secure with a cable tie (2) to prevent it from falling down IMPORTANT The SPECIAL TOOL screwdriver bit is to be used when a bolt with a multi-socket tooth profile is fitted.

6 Grease spindle of extraction and insertion tool (5) with rolling-element bearing grease    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS High temperature antifriction bearing grease (NLGI grade 2)   BB00.40-P-0265-01A

7 Position extraction and insertion tool (5), as shown, to wheel carrier (4) and elastomer bearings (3) IMPORTANT Make sure that the SPECIAL TOOL extraction and insertion tool (5) is seated correctly.

8 Pull elastomer bearing (3) out of wheel carrier (4) in direction of arrow and remove    
INSTALLING Install     
9 Again grease spindle of extraction and insertion tool (5) with rolling-element bearing grease    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS High temperature antifriction bearing grease (NLGI grade 2)   BB00.40-P-0265-01A

10 Position extraction and insertion tool (5) with new elastomer bearing (3), as shown, onto wheel carrier (4) IMPORTANT Make sure that the SPECIAL TOOL extraction and insertion tool (5) is seated correctly.

11 Draw elastomer bearing (3) in direction of arrow into wheel carrier (4) IMPORTANT Draw elastomer bearing (3) in far enough to level out the protrusion on the wheel carrier (4) on both sides.
The elastomer bearing (3) must be located in the middle in the wheel carrier (4).
 
12 Remove extraction and insertion tool (5)    
13 Attach camber strut (1) to wheel carrier (4) IMPORTANT The SPECIAL TOOL screwdriver bit is to be used when a bolt with a multi-socket tooth profile is fitted.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, camber strut to wheel carrier *BA35.20-P-1002-02L

14 Mount bracket onto brake cover plate (6)    
15 Hook electrical line of shock absorber into bracket on wheel carrier (4)    
16 Hook electrical line of electric parking brake into bracket on wheel carrier (4)    
17 Remount the rear wheel   AR40.10-P-1102A
18 Perform wheel alignment check   AR40.20-P-0200LW
