| 1 | Commission Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive control unit (N62/4). | When replacing Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive control unit (N62/4). | |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Remove left load compartment trim at side. | Model 253 (except 253.992/993) as of model year 2020 with code 233 (DISTRONIC PLUS) |

| 4 | Release bolts (1), remove holder (2) with Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive control unit (N62/4) and place into vehicle. | ||
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connector (3). | ||
| 6 | Release Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive control unit (N62/4) at catches (arrows) and remove from holder (2). | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order. |
