Drain/Pour In Coolant - AR20.00-P-1142MSA

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray.
Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove cap from expansion reservoir.    
2 Remove lower center and front engine compartment lining. Engine 256.9 in model 213, 238 AR61.20-P-1105LWE
    Engine 256.9 in model 257 AR61.20-P-1105FR
    Engine 256.9 in model 290 AR61.20-P-1105FRX
  Drain off     
3 Slide drain hose onto drain fitting (2).    
4 Loosen drain screw (3) and catch escaping coolant in suitable container.    
5 Tighten drain screw (3) and remove drain hose.    
6 Remove coolant hose (1) from cooler and catch escaping coolant in a suitable container. Engine 256.9 in model 213, 238, 257, 290 with code M016 (Uprated engine)

7 Install coolant hose (1) on cooler. Engine 256.9 in model 213, 238, 257, 290 with code M016 (Uprated engine)  
      AR09.41-P-1311-01AL
  Pour in     
8 Pour in coolant and bleed engine cooling system.   AR20.00-P-1142-04OLC 
    Test pressure for pressure-testing the engine cooling system *BE20.30-P-1005-01A 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-06MR 
    SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 3
    SPECIAL TOOL Electric vacuum pump Fig 4
    SPECIAL TOOL NTKL Adaption Fig 1
    SPECIAL TOOL Cooler vacuum filling device Fig 5
    SPECIAL TOOL Test cap Fig 2
INSPECT Check     
9 Check engine cooling system for leak tightness.   AR20.00-P-1010MSA 
INSTALLING Install     
10 Install lower center and front engine compartment lining. Engine 256.9 in model 213, 238 AR61.20-P-1105LWE
    Engine 256.9 in model 257 AR61.20-P-1105FR
    Engine 256.9 in model 290 AR61.20-P-1105FRX
RADIATOR OR EXPANSION RESERVOIR CAP
