	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)
2	Disconnect battery ground line		AR54.10-P-0003NKB
3	Remove glove compartment (2)		AR68.10-P-1400NKA
4	Lift cable duct (1) in area of bracket (3) using assembly wedge and secure	Lift cable duct (1) carefully and only until screws/bolts (4) are accessible. Otherwise, the cable duct (1) may fracture.

5	Remove bolts (4)	Bolt, front passenger airbag unit to cross member under dashboard	*BA91.60-P-1008-01F
6	Remove bracket (3)
7	Release and disconnect electrical connectors (5)
8	Unscrew nuts (8)	Nut, front passenger airbag unit to instrument panel	*BA91.60-P-1002-01F
9	Lift instrument panel (6) with assistant slightly and remove front passenger airbag (7)	Only raise instrument panel (6) far enough to gain access to the front passenger airbag (7). Otherwise, the instrument panel (6) may be damaged.
10	Install in the reverse order
	Check
11	Check and erase vehicle fault memory using diagnostic system	When replacing front passenger airbag (7).
