3	Remove engine cover (1)
4	Remove air filter box (2)		AR09.10-P-1150MT
5	Remove fan unit (3)		AR20.40-P-5050NKB
6	Remove oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2)		AR07.52-P-5303MT
7	Remove screw/bolts (4s) and detach bracket (4) from catalytic converter (5) on cylinder head	Bolt, front exhaust system holder to front exhaust system/cylinder head	*BA49.10-P-1002-01AL
8	Detach heat shield (6) over turbocharger
9	Unscrew nuts (7) from catalytic converter (5) at turbocharger	Replace nuts (7). Check threaded stud; replace if necessary.
		Nut/bolt, exhaust system at front to turbocharger	*BA49.10-P-1001-01AL
10	Attach guard plate and secure cooler against falling down
			WF58.50-P-0110-01A
11	Detach lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105NKB
12	Remove radiator support (8)	Bolt, connecting carrier to front axle carrier	*BA62.30-P-1004-04D
		Bolt, radiator support to longitudinal member	*BA62.30-P-1001-04D
13	Unclip electrical connection for oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/1) on bracket and disconnect electrical connection		AR07.52-P-5303MT
14	Unfasten pipe clamp (9) at connection between catalytic converter (5) on exhaust system (10)	Replace pipe clamp (9).
		Clamp, center muffler or diesel particulate filter to front exhaust system	*BA49.10-P-1005-01AL
15	Remove screw/bolt (11s) for catalytic converter (5) at bracket (11)	Bolt, front exhaust system holder to front exhaust system/oil pan	*BA49.10-P-1003-01AL
16	Remove screw/bolts (12) from catalytic converter (5) at crankcase	Bolt, front exhaust system holder to front exhaust system/crankcase	*BA49.10-P-1004-01AL
17	Detach two-piece heat shield on catalytic converter (5)	For vehicles with a dual clutch transmission
18	Take out catalytic converter (5)	Replace seal between catalytic converter (5) and turbocharger as well as seal between catalytic converter (5) and center muffler.
19	Detach heat shield (13) on catalytic converter (5)	When replacing the catalytic converter (5) for vehicles with a manual transmission
20	Remove rear heat shield from steering gear	MODEL 242, 117

21	Remove oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/1)	When replacing catalytic converter (5)	AR07.52-P-5303MT
22	Install in the reverse order
	Check
23	Check installation position and clearance of exhaust system
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
24	Test run engine and check exhaust system for leaks
