Install the dial indicator holder (02) on the assembly stand.
Insert the dial indicator (01) in
the dial indicator holder (02) and adjust a minimum pre-tension value of 3 mm.
The measuring tip of the
dial indicator (01) must be in contact with the crankcase at a right angle.
False measurements can occur otherwise.
- Press and hold the crankcase along its axis against the
dial indicator (01) up to the stop.
- Set the
dial indicator (01) scale to zero.
- Press and hold the crankcase along it axis towards the
dial indicator (01) up to the stop.
- Read the end play of the crankcase from the
dial indicator (01) and compare it to the setpoint values.
