Remove/Install Tire Pressure Sensor - AR40.15-P-0080EW

REMOVING Remove     
1 Unscrew valve cap (1)    
2 Detach tire Model 190 AR40.10-P-1030RG
    Model 222 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system) with code Z07 (Top protection) AR40.10-P-1030LFS
    Model 117, 156, 166, 172, 176, 205, 207, 212, 213, 217, 218, 231, 238, 242, 246, 253, 292 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system)
Model 222 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system)
except code Z07 (Top protection)		 AR40.10-P-1030EW 
3 Unscrew collar nut (2) from valve body (3) and remove    
4 Remove tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4) with valve body (3) from disk wheel    
5 Remove seal (5) and support ring (6) from valve body (3)    
6 Unscrew valve body (3) from tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4) When reusing tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4).  
CLEAN Clean     
7 Clean tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4) When reusing tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4).  
    NOTES Only remove dirt with a clean, lint-free cloth. Do not use compressed air, solvent or cleaner Otherwise, the tire pressure sensor may be damaged.
IMPORTANT The tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4) can also be reused after the TIREFIT tire repair kit has been used.		  
8 Clean the disk wheel in the area of the valve bore    
INSTALLING Install     
9 Detach label (4) with identification number (I) from tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4) and stick in service booklet When replacing tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4).  
10 Replace valve body (3) and valve element (7) When reusing tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4).
IMPORTANT Insert the square of the valve body (3) into the guide on the tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4) so that this is fixed in position.		  
11 Mount support ring (6) and seal (5) on valve body (3) IMPORTANT The cone on the support ring (6) must be seated correctly in the contour of the tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4).
IMPORTANT Observe installation position (see arrow).		  
12 Insert valve body (3) with freely moving tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4) from inside to outside into valve bore of disk wheel    
13 Tighten collar nut (2) on valve body (3) IMPORTANT When tightening the collar nut (2), press the tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4) lightly into the drop center and press toward the valve bore of the disk wheel.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 172, 207, 212, 217, 218, 222, 231 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitor) Valve nut to valve body *BA40.15-P-1001-01F 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 166, 292 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system) Valve nut to valve body *BA40.15-P-1001-01E 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 117, 156, 176, 205, 213, 242, 246, 253 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system) Valve nut to valve body for tire pressure sensor *BA40.15-P-1001-01J 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 190 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system) Valve nut to valve body *BA40.15-P-1001-01H 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 238 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system) Valve nut to valve body for tire pressure sensor *BA40.15-P-1001-01K

15 Screw on valve cap (1) NOTES Only use plastic valve caps (1). Otherwise corrosion damage may occur.  
16 Restart tire pressure monitor When replacing tire pressure sensor (A69/1, A69/2, A69/3, A69/4). Model 292 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system) AR54.30-P-1001-01GQC
    Model 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system) AR54.30-P-1001-01RAE
