Remove/Install Interlock Line - AR08.10-P-0028OLC

DANGER Risk of fire  /risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death  due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC. No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of death  when working on component parts and systems with U >= 30 V alternating voltage (AC) or U >= 60 V direct voltage (DC) Do not touch damaged or defective live component parts and lines or non-insulated electrical connections and lines. AS00.00-Z-0035-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove cover of the electric machine. Model 167.117/154/317/354 with transmission 725.0
Model 213.011/016/050/053/054/153/155/211/216/253 with transmission 725.0

2 Remove interlock line electrical connector (1) and electrical connector for the electric machine temperature sensor (2).    
3 Disconnect interlock line electrical connector (1) from electrical connector for the electric machine temperature sensor (2).    
4 Remove UVW high-voltage connection (3) from the housing for the electric machine (6). IMPORTANT Place UVW high-voltage connection (3) with connected lines to one side.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new seals on the three phases of the UVW high-voltage connection (3).
 
5 Remove interlock line (5) from the recess in the housing for the electric machine (6). INSTALLATION NOTES
Ensure that interlock line (5) is correctly routed in the recess in the housing for the electric machine (6).
Otherwise, interlock line (5) can be damaged when the cover of the electric machine is installed.
 
6 Remove interlock line contact carrier (4) from the housing for the electric machine (6).    
7 Install in the reverse order.
