	Remove
1	Open engine hood
2	Unclip retaining clip (2.1) for engine wiring harness (2) from cover (1)	Model 117, 156, 176, 246 with engine 607, 651
3	Unclip engine hood cable (3) from cover (1)	Model 117, 156, 176, 246 Model 242 except code ME01 (Electric motor)
4	Unlock cover (1) in direction of arrow and remove	Model 117, 156, 176, 246 Model 242 except code ME01 (Electric motor)
5	Disconnect ground line for on-board electrical system battery (G1)	Model 242 with code ME01 (Electric motor)

6	Visually inspect on-board electrical system battery (G1) for external leakage	If leaks are found, replace the on-board electrical system battery (G1). ↓
