Check condition of battery - AR54.10-P-1129NKB

DANGER Risk of injury  due to fan starting unexpectedly Do not reach into the rotation or hazard area of the fan. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. AS20.40-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Open engine hood    
2 Unclip retaining clip (2.1) for engine wiring harness (2) from cover (1) Model 117, 156, 176, 246 with engine 607, 651  
3 Unclip engine hood cable (3) from cover (1) Model 117, 156, 176, 246

except code ME01 (Electric motor)
 
4 Unlock cover (1) in direction of arrow and remove Model 117, 156, 176, 246

5 Disconnect ground line for on-board electrical system battery (G1) Model 242
with code ME01 (Electric motor)

INSPECT Check     
6 Visually inspect on-board electrical system battery (G1) for external leakage IMPORTANT If leaks are found, replace the on-board electrical system battery (G1). ↓  
Remove/install battery AR54.10-P-0005NKB 
7 Check on-board electrical system battery (G1)   AR54.10-P-1129-01A
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 02 19 00 Battery tester   WS54.00-N-3006B 
Battery capacity 60 Ah *BE54.10-P-1007-01A 
Battery capacity 70 Ah VRLA *BE54.10-P-1010-01A 
Battery capacity 80 Ah VRLA *BE54.10-P-1012-01A 
8 Reduce increased voltage after charging process For an on-board electrical system battery (G1) that is disconnected from the on-board electrical system and if the message "Surface voltage detected" is in the display of the Midtronics battery tester.

REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 03 19 00 Load tester   WS15.00-P-0027B
    IMPORTANT Check the on-board electrical system battery (G1) again after the increased voltage is reduced.  
9 Charge on-board electrical system battery (G1) With the test code "Charge and check" on the Midtronics battery tester.

INSTALLING Install     
10 Connect ground line for on-board electrical system battery (G1) Model 242
with code ME01 (Electric motor)

11 Install cover (1) Model 117, 156, 176, 246

12 Clip engine hood cable (3) into cover (1) Model 117, 156, 176, 246

13 Clip retaining clip (2.1) for engine wiring harness (2) into cover (1) Model 117, 156, 176, 246 with engine 607, 651  
14 Close engine hood
