| 2 | Disconnect ground line from battery. | AR54.10-P-0003MFA | |
| 3 | Release and disconnect all electrical connectors coming out of the main wiring harness (2). | ||
| 4 | Expose main wiring harness (2) of the door module (1). | ||
| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (3) of the outside mirror from the control unit. | ||

| 7 | Loosen bolts (4). | ||
| 8 | Push bearing bracket (5) toward the front and unhook from door paneling. | ||
| 9 | Remove screws (6) from the door lock. | *BA72.10-P-1007-01ZA | |
| 10.1 | Remove screws (7) from the door module (1). | When fastening door module (1) with screws (7). If screws (7) turn freely, screws with a larger diameter are available from EPC for fastening the door module (1). Repair stage 2: If larger screws turn freely, rivets are available from EPC for fastening the door module (1). |

| 10.2 | Drill out rivet heads of rivets on the door module (1). | When fastening the door module (1) using rivets. |

| 11 | Remove door module (1) from front door. | ||
| 12 | Remove door module (1) together with the locking system from the front door. | ||
| 13 | Drill out rivet residues, press out the remaining rivet residues on the inner door panel, and completely remove the rivet residues and shavings from the front door. | When fastening the door module (1) using rivets. |
