Turn Engine To Top Dead Center Position - AR01.10-P-1000-01MFG

  1. Position SPECIAL TOOL counterholder on the belt pulley (1).
  2. Turn Engine with SPECIAL TOOL counterholder in the direction of Engine rotation until the belt pulley marking (2) matches the marking on the Engine (3).

    NOTES Do not turn Engine against the direction of Engine rotation.

    Otherwise, the timing chain will jump, which will cause Engine damage.

    IMPORTANT Check the precise alignment of the marking belt pulley (2) and marking Engine (3) using a mirror.

    The piston of cylinder 1 now stands at top dead center (ignition TDC).
