	Remove/install
1	Remove charge-air distributor.	Only install lower Engine compartment paneling after leak test. Do not install upper Engine cover until after the leak test.	AR09.41-P-8683MFC
2	Remove bleed line (4) from oil separator (5) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.	Replace sealing ring. Make sure that sealing ring is seated correctly on bleed line (4). Record plug	Fig 3

4	Remove retaining clamp (7), remove coolant hose (2) and coolant connection (6) from coolant thermostat, and place to one side.
5	Seal openings using protective cover.	Set of protective covers	Fig 1
6	Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) from crankshaft Hall sensor (B70).		AR15.12-P-2136MFC
7	Unclip electrical wiring harnesses from oil separator (5) and crankcase (arrows).
8	Remove screws (8 - 16) at oil separator (5) in reverse numerical order.	Observe numerical order. Bolt, oil separator to crankcase	*BA01.20-P-1002-03C
9	Remove oil separator (5).	The sealing surface should be free of grease and dust. Otherwise there may be adhesion problems. Replace seal. Make sure that seal of oil separator (5) is seated correctly.

11	Install in the reverse order.
12	Read out fault memory and delete if necessary.

13	Check Engine oil level and correct.

14	Perform Engine test run; while doing so, check Engine in area of oil separator (5) in terms of leak tightness.
