REMOVING Remove     
1 Disconnect ground line of respective onboard electrical system battery.    
2 Deenergize high-voltage on-board electrical system. Only in vehicles with high-voltage on-board electrical system.  
3 Remove detachable parts in area of repair point.    
4 Remove ground lines from weld stud of ground point.    
5 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle with spark protection blankets.    
6 Cut off old weld stud of ground point as close to body as possible.    
INSTALLING Install     
DANGER The high voltage used for electric welding presents a lethal hazard. Risk of explosion  from welding in areas close to highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  from weld splatter and UV-light when welding. Risk of poisoning from inhaling welding gases Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and a protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extraction system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A

7 Surface grind repair point and grind down to bare metal.    
8 Weld on new weld stud of ground point.

    Aluminum ground bolt (M8x21) *BR00.45-Z-1038-13A 
    Steel ground bolt (M8x20) *BR00.45-Z-1060-13A 
    Aluminum ground bolt (M8x21) *BR00.45-Z-1106-13A 
    Steel ground bolt (M8x20) *BR00.45-Z-1107-13A 
    Steel ground bolt (M8x13) *BR00.45-Z-1108-13A 
    Steel ground bolt (M8x11.5) *BR00.45-Z-1109-13A 
    Steel ground bolt (M6x13) *BR00.45-Z-1110-13A 
9 Clean weld joint    
10 Remove spark protection blankets.    
11 Clean repair area.    
12 Mask off thread of weld stud on new ground point and contact surface of cable lug with adhesive tape.    
13 Prime repair area with primer filler.

14 Paint repair area.

15 Remove adhesive tape on weld stud on new ground point and contact surface of cable lug.    
16 Attach ground lines to weld studs of ground point.    
17 Add cavity preservation to repair area.    
18 Reinstall detachable parts in area of repair point.    
19 Connect ground line of respective on-board electrical system battery.    
20 Put the high-voltage on-board electrical system into operation. Only in vehicles with high-voltage on-board electrical system.  
INSPECT Check     
21 Perform function test.
